Funeral Service for Mrs. Doris Jean Hosmer, 75, will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Peck Funeral Home and visitation from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM before the service with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating.
Mrs. Hosmer passed away August 7, 2026 surrounded by family on August 7, 2026 at her residence. She was born January 13, 1951 in Jefferson County to Talmadge Lee Sheppard and Sarah Edith Johnson Sheppard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Samuel Wade Hosmer, Daughter, Joyce Jean Beck, brothers, Andy “Red” Sheppard, and Kenneth Wayne Sheppard. She preceded in death by her sister, Mary Sheppard Wilbanks and nephews, Larry and David Sheppard.
She is Survived by:
Son – Tony Dewayne Cobb (Brandie)
Daughter – Becky McNeal (John)
Brothers – Lionel Sheppard and Calvin Sheppard
Sisters- Aleisha Sheppard Tomlin and Wanda Sheppard Williams
Grandchildren – Rebecca Michelle Cobb and Jackson Edward McNeal
