Gloria Reeves Freeman, 78 of Parrish, passed away Monday Aug. 3, 26 at her residence,
Mrs. Freeman was a dedicated and devoted Pastor’s wife for many years. She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a Licensed Cosmetologist. Two of the great loves in her life were playing the piano and singing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Rev. Jerry E. Freeman; her son, Mark Freeman; parents, Leon and Polly Reeves, and brother, Leon Reeves.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Freeman and wife Lisa; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Patton and husband Mark; grandchildren, Bo Smith (Tosha), Blake Freeman, Ashley Gray (Andrew), Heather Matthews (Wayne) and Kaley Freeman; great grandchildren, Zayden Smith, Aria Gray and Wyatt Matthews; sister, Regina Henson (Butch); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Aug. 5, 26 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jarrett Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at New Canaan Cemetery in Empire. Visitation is Wednesday from 10-11 am.
