Norma Smith Profile Photo  Mrs. Norma Joan King Smith, age 93, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026. She was born in Erie, PA and lived in Madison, AL before settling in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Smith retired as a loan officer from PNC Bank, formerly Security Peoples Trust Company. She volunteered with the Greene Township Lioness Club, Gifts for Kids, and St. Boniface Food Pantry. Mrs. Smith was a longtime member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Erie, PA and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro, TN. She was also a member of the St. Clair Senior Center in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 77 years, Charles Smith; children, Rita Fuller, Richard Smith and his wife Kathleen, Kim Galkowski and her husband Richard, and Kevin Smith and his wife Fransesca; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph J. Runser, Sr. and Dorothy Vincent King Runser; brothers, William Runser, Joseph Runser, Jr., and Edward Runser; sisters, Judith Skinner and Janet Hoopsick; and grandsons, Matthew Smith and Michael Fuller.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Boniface Food Pantry or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Mrs. Smith.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, August 7, 2026 from 9:30am until 10:30am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A funeral mass will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
