Richard Austin MaloneRichard Austin Malone, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 63 in his hometown of Pontotoc, Mississippi. Born on March 19, 1963, Richard, affectionately known as Ricky, dedicated his life to his family and faith.

Ricky is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Malone, and his children, J.T. Brown, Jimmy Malone and his wife Robin, April Ray and her husband Dusty, Sheena Smith and her husband Matthew, Chelsea Malone, Kevin McGregor, Connor McGregor, and Gabriel Malone, his grandchildren, Camron Condor, Savannah Ray, Crossland Malone, Baby Malone, Chase Ray, Journey Malone, Bryce Johnson, Blayze Bowen, Chance Ray, Brody Duke, Southern Duke, and Matthew Malone, his great grandson, Layson Galabiz, and his siblings, Shirley Stallings and her husband Glen(deceased), Mike Snider and his wife Teresa, Brenda Bozman, Mary Frances Whitehead and her husband Raymond, Charlotte Fincher, Florence Rogers and her husband Keith, and Glenda Hall and her husband David.

He was preceded in death by his father, Judge Richardson Malone, Jr., his mother, Frances Louise Snider (Olen), his brother, Charles Snider, and his nephew, Jon Snider.

Ricky’s career spanned nearly five decades in the construction industry across North Mississippi, where he took immense pride in providing for his family. His life was a testament to his unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, marked by genuine repentance and steadfast devotion. As a faithful member of Anchor Holds Church in Blue Springs, Mississippi, Ricky’s life was a reflection of his sincere desire to honor God.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, officiated by Bro. Mike Sanders and Bro. Josh Sanders. Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Tuesday evening and again on Wednesday morning from 10AM until service time. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Ricky’s legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Malone, Camron Condor, Crossland Malone, Dusty Ray, Chase Ray, and Justin Hester.
