To know Michael was to know laughter. He had an infectious personality, generous heart, and the remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Like a chameleon, he could effortlessly fit in with any crowd, forming genuine friendships wherever he went. His quick wit, larger than life stories, and playful sense of humor made him the life of every party. Michael left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Michael loved his family, never missing an opportunity to say “I love y’all”. He thoroughly enjoyed Alabama football, shenanigans, and telling a good story. He was always up for a family wiffle ball game in the front yard and recently demonstrated that he still had skills, wakeboarding at the lake on July 4th. Above all else, he was most proud of being Kamren and Linkin’s dad. They were the greatest joy of his life.
Michael had a profound sense of gratitude for God’s love and mercy. He regularly shared God’s faithfulness and love, recently recounting specific examples of seeing God at work in his life. He was often overwhelmed by emotion when expressing his thankfulness to God and his appreciation of family in such heartfelt and genuine ways. He will be so deeply missed.
