Maye Belle Riddle, 71, of Danville, AL, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on December 17, 1954, in Cullman, AL to Benny and Annie Lee Kritner Brown.
She loved gardening, cooking, family gatherings, canning, Smores with grandchildren, Holidays and Thrifting and (Life). She would meet you at the car when you pull up. (Hug), same as when you leave, call when you get home, talking on phone with grands, face timing with great grands.
All will miss these special calls each day. She was the Matriarc of the family, family planner, and the Glue of the family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benny and Annie Lee Brown, siblings, sisters, Shirley Martin and Meg King, brothers, Al Baker and Ken Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Riddle, daughters, Melanie Douglass (Ronald), and Stephanie Manear (Christopher), sisters, Faye Roy (her twin), Becky Erday and Jane Baker, brothers, Bill Brown, Buck Brown and Jim Brown, grandchildren, Adam Stough (Kaylynn), Amber Tyer, Brittany Woods, Benjamin (Grey) Manear, Josh, Manear (Jade), Rhonni Douglass, Emalee Douglass, Harley Douglass and Jonathan Woods. Great grandchildren, Reid Gorham, Jaidon Ware, River Manear, Brett’ Lee Sturkie, and Rain Manear and a host of fur babies, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and other Loving Family and Friends.
