Funeral service for Gail Hopper, age 79, of Falkville will be Monday, July 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at New Center Baptist Church with Brother Ben Bates officiating with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will be at the Church on Monday, one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Ms. Hopper, who was born January 18, 1947, in Decatur, Alabama to Ellia Martin Hill and Bertha Lee Banks Hill, died on Friday, July 24, 2026, at her home in Falkville.
She was a member of New Center Baptist Church, loved to grow vegetables, flowers and travel, especially to the beach. Since the passing of her husband, Harold, she has enjoyed traveling with her friends, and had a trip planned this fall. She dearly loved her family and spending time with them.
Gail loved her work and her clients at her beauty shop in Falkville, “The Salon of Beauty” which she owned and operated for over 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son; Shawn Hopper, and her sister; Dorrise Edmonson.

Two Daughters: Tina Hopper Metz (David) and Amanda Hopper Robinson (Brian)
Seven Grandchildren: Meagan Watson, Micheal Hopper, Emalee Sanchez, Jared Hutton, William Hutton, Hunter Robinson, and Elizabeth Robinson
Six Great Grandchildren: C.J. Watson, Brooklyn Watson, Xavier Sanchez, Samuel Sanchez, Lenora Sanchez, and Caroline Hutton
Brian Robinson, Hunter Robinson, Nathan Edmonson, Brad Edmonson, David Metz,
Jackson Edmonson, Micheal Hopper, and Jared Hutton will serve as Pallbearers.
