Michael Wayne Flynt, age 68, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
The family will visit with friends and family at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia from 1 pm-4 pm on Sunday, July 26th.
Mike was born on February 25, 1958, to the late James Roy and Jennie Mae McGee Flynt in Mt. Pleasant, TN. He was the husband of Mirinda Crews Flynt of Mt. Pleasant.
Mike was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt School of Banking and Banking School of the South at LSU. He was a beloved Columbia banker for 42 years.
Mike will be remembered for his humor, quick wit, and love of Christmas. He enjoyed spending time with his family and dog, Bella, piddling around Flynt Hollow, and observing wildlife.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mirinda Crews Flynt; sister, Wanda (Jimmy) White of Columbia; daughter, Mallory (Josh) Davis of Mt. Pleasant; son, Wesley (Kara) Flynt of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Walker and Ellie Flynt and Lily and Mason Davis – all of Mt. Pleasant; aunt, Connie McGee Deason of Columbia; sisters-in-law Theresa (Hal) Brown, Beverly (Hendley) Edwards – all of Mt. Pleasant; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, there will be a private family memorial.
