Ms. Irma Nell Segler-Galligan, age 87, of Guntersville, Alabama, passed away on July 20, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1938.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah Redmond and Susan Kennamer, her son Ricky Kennamer, her sister Bobbie Henderson, her brother Carl Segler, her grandchildren Robby (Valerie) Redmond, Kevin Redmond, Lauren (Derek) Cowan, and Nathan (Kristina) Champion, as well as her great-grandchildren Carolyne Redmond, Sam Redmond, Jenna Beth Redmond, Krymson Bonds, Kaydance Williams, Wyatt Cowan, Gracelynn Cowan, Kasen Champion, and Kash Champion.
She was preceded in death by her parents J.B. and Tilar Segler, her brothers Robert Segler, Coy Segler, Johnny Segler, and her son-in-law Steve Redmond.
Irma had a strong faith, loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was a member of Solitude Baptist Church in Albertville, AL. She enjoyed taking pictures and never missed a chance to capture a special moment. She dearly loved her family and especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved country and gospel music, which brought her great joy throughout her life. Her light touched everyone who knew her, leaving a lasting legacy of love and faith.
Visitation will be held at the New Hope Funeral Home on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00PM – 3:00PM, with a funeral service beginning at 3:00PM with Bro. Glen Pankey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice ( ) or the Alzheimer’s Association ( ).
Interment will be in Whitaker Cemetery.
