Obituary of James "Ken" Kenneth WinterJames Kenneth “Ken” Winter, age 77, passed away surrounded by his family at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Ken was born June 23, 1949, in Wrightstown, NJ, to James Burt and Lyda Marie Cox Winter. He was a 1968 graduate of Pontotoc High School and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. He owned and operated Tupelo Power Sports for many years. Ken enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, reading, watching movies, and tinkering.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, from 12 to 2 P.M.; the funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M., at the funeral home, with Dr. Ken Hester officiating. Private burial will follow at West Heights Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Winter family.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Pellum Winter; his two sons, Todd Winter and Patrick Winter (Maggie), a bonus daughter, Katie Kirby (Brendon); and six grandchildren, Tristan Winter, Stella Winter, Shelby Winter, Kensley Winter, Cole Winter and Lane Kirby.

Pallbearers will be Cole Winter, Brendon Kirby, Tim Rogers, David Castle, Mike Owen, and Jason Pellum.
