A Celebration of Life Service for Edith Paulette Thacker, 69, is set for 1:00pm Friday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Nethery officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Cemetery.Family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am to service time at the funeral home.
Edith died July 14, 2026 at her residence in Guys, TN. She was born June 12, 1957 in Chewalla, TN to the late Lonnie and Lorene Ramer. She was a member of Olive Hill Church and a retired factory machine operator. She enjoyed telling stories and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Maverick Nelms; brothers, James Ramer and Hubert Ramer; sisters, Louise Ray and Carolyn Ramer; and special friend, Janice Milligan.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Billy Thacker; son, Bear Thacker (Courtney); daughter, Bethanie Nelms (Kaleb); grandchildren, Ty Buchanan, Riley Buchanan, and Weston Thacker; sisters, Diane Kesterson and Kathy Butler; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be James Jarnigan, Tyler Steen, William Butler, Blake Butler, Tommy York, Jimmy Bowen, and Nathan Gibens.
