MUSCLE SHOALS-Easter Seals is celebrating their 100 Year Anniversary during this year’s Handy Music Festival. It’s going to be an exciting event, and the first time we’ll be doing Handy Music at Easter Seals. This is a wonderful way to bring attention to one of the best and most needed organizations in the Shoals area.
This Handy Event will be held at the Easter Seals Rehab Center of NW Alabama located at 1615 Trojan Drive in Muscle Shoal beginning a 6:00PM in the parking lot on July 21, 2026. Mike Curtis Group will be performing featuring Ashley Brown, Donny Carpenter and Garret Miles.
There will be lots of fun and lots of great food with several food trucks in attendance offering delicious choices of food. All the food, fun and music is free to all. This event is sponsored by Easter Seals Rehab Center of NW Alabama.

Shoals Theatre will be providing a perfect cooling station during the Festival, especially during the Handy’s On The Plaza events. Festival attendees will be able to get out of the heat, take advantage of rest rooms, and even purchase some Handy merch.
Shoals Theatre is also where everyone can see the play “Determined” about the life of our Festival namesake William Christopher “WC” Handy.
Brochures and Handy merch can also be found at Handy Headquarters, 209 East Tuscaloosa Street in Florence. We’re open til 6pm through Thursday, and later during events such as “Sax In The City” and “Rewind”, both held in Wilson Park.
Riverside Jamz will be at Riverfront Park in Sheffield for the first time, and bring back memories of Sunset Serenade from years ago.
