Nina Stinnett Profile Photo Mrs. Nina Stinnett of Taft, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday. She was 71.

Mrs. Stinnett had recently made her home in Lincoln County after spending many years in Carrollton, Texas. She retired from the United States Postal Service, where she truly loved her work and the friendships she made throughout her career.

Nina had a passion for sports and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Stars, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Chicago White Sox. She also faithfully cheered for her favorite NASCAR driver, Tyler Reddick, and remained a passionate Dale Earnhardt fan, even after he stopped driving. More than anything, she will be remembered as a kind and sweet-hearted woman who wholeheartedly embraced her husband’s family as her own. She dearly loved them, and they loved her in return.

She was a Christian who attended Catholic school and was raised in the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Shirley Kunik; and by her sister, Judy.

Surviving family members include her beloved husband of 20 years, Steve Stinnett; and her brother, Jim Callaghan (Cindi).

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
