Mary Allison Birchfield Green, 90, of Florence, AL, passed away July 6, 2026, at her home. Mary was a native of Michigan and was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired Accountant for the United States Federal Government in Washington, D.C. Mary was well known in this area for starting and working in the Helen Keller Hospital Gift Shop. Mary is survived by: Son: Stephen Birchfield, Sr. and wife Vickie Daughter: Helen Green Sister: Dora Allison Grandchildren: Shelly Nergo (Pedro), Steve Birchfield, Jr., Breanna Pruitt, Brandon Pruitt (Nadallie), Braydon Pruitt, Nathan Pruitt, Tristan Rhodes, Bella Joyner, Jerry Rhodes, Jr., Stacey Rhodes (Lisa), Pamela Elvin (Mike), Tabitha Rhodes, Xena Hurst, Jaylon Johnson, and Marcus McClure Several Great-grandchildren Best Friend and Caretaker: Suzanne Johnson Mary’s Loving Babies: Rowdy and Lady She was preceded in death by: Father: Eugene Murray Allison Mother: Helen Cassie Young Allison Husbands: Stephen Birchfield and Joe Green Sons: David Green, Robert Green, Donald Green, and John Green Several Siblings also preceded her in death There will be a Memorial Service held for Mary soon.
