Sue Wright Graham Profile PhotoSue Wright Graham, of Franklin, was marked absent for the first time in 86 years on July 7, 2026. Sue moved on to a heavenly classroom to resume the command over her husband of 64 years, Col. Tom Graham, who prepared her way in 2023.

Born in Nashville, Sue was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Vera Wright.
She is survived by son Scott Graham, daughters Susan (Marcus) Fitzsimmons and Vera Graham; and granddaughter Katelyn Fraker.

A graduate of George Peabody College, now Vanderbilt University, she went on to also earn her Masters in Education from Peabody, and worked for Metro Nashville Public Schools in the classroom. She closed her career teaching night classes for adult students seeking to complete their high school degrees.

Sue was proud of her Scottish heritage and often traveled to games and festivals to support her granddaughter’s highland dancing and the Clan Graham. She was the final guardian of Katie the corgi.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Springs Assisted Living for their care and assistance the last five years.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, at Spring Hill Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. An interment at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Foundation in her memory.
