Tommy A Hallman Sr, of Decatur, AL passed away on June 30, 2026. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 1 to 2 pm, at Roselawn Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life to take place following. He will be laid to rest at a later date.
Tommy A Hallman, Sr. is survived by Son Andy & wife, Irasema and grandson, Lathan Tyler Hallman, Bay City, TX; stepson, Keith & wife, Joette Jones; Step-granddaughter, Amy Kanaday; Step-grandsons, Lance Jones, TX., Alex Jones, of Vinemont, AL; 3 great grandchildren. His brother James Lester & wife, Vicki of Remlap, AL and two nephews, Chad and Sam Hallman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Henry and Sibyl Camp Hallman.
Tommy was born June 30, 1942, and was a faithful follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for 84 years. Tommy graduated from Oneonta High School in 1960 and attended Jefferson State Community College. Tommy served in the Air Force for 4.5 years as a jet mechanic at the end of the Vietnam war.
Tommy served as a lay minister for United Methodist Church in Selfville, AL in the ’70’s and continued in missionary work in Isreal, Brazil and Africa.
Tommy was a diehard Auburn fan and was the greatest Monday Morning Quarterback. Tommy also refereed high school football games as a member of the Decatur Football Officials Association.
