Veronica Charlene Hayes, age 55 of Goodspring, passed away on Saturday July 4, 2026 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.Veronica was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on September 30, 1970 to Alan Donald and Betty June Hunt McDow. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints. Veronica found beauty in the things she nurtured, from flowers to her family and all the way to her cats who shared her life. Those quiet moments of care, comfort, and companionship reflected the gentle way she lived her life. She found peace in the simple routines that filled her with happiness. Veronica is preceded in death by her parents Alan Donald and Betty June McDow; brothers Reggie, Mikey, and Randal Glenn McDow; sister Kim Dollins; nephew Jeremy Alan Hayes; niece Amber Dollins.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Tuesday July 7, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday July 8, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment will be in Minor Hill Cemetery.
Veronica is survived by her husband Roger Hayes of Minor Hill; sons Nathan and Taylor Hayes both of Goodspring; sister Donna Hayes (Jerry) of Goodspring; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
