Sandra Wade TaylorSandra Wade Taylor “Nana” passed away peacefully at her home in Greenbrier, TN on June 27, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, 2619 Hwy, 41S. Greenbrier, TN. The family will receive friends 11 am until time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville.
Born Sandra Louise Wade on November 11, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late James Henry and Frances Frensley Wade. Sandra was raised in Providence, Kentucky. A graduate of Providence High School class of 1960 before moving to Nashville with her parents. She immediately entered the work force and shortly after met the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life. Sandra and Charles Taylor met while working at May Hosiery Mill in Nashville. They wed on July 3, 1963 and celebrated 62 anniversaries together before Charles’ passing in January 2026. They welcomed a daughter, Lisa Taylor in September 1966. Charles and Sandra would continue to work together at several companies throughout the duration of their careers. They also went on to open a child care center in Greenbrier where they would become help many families in the community care for their children.
Nana loved her family. She enjoyed cooking big meals for her family, especially on holidays. She also enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays. She loved children and animals, working in her yard and planting flowers.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Joyce Ann Wade; her husband, Charles Eugene Taylor; and her daughter, Lisa Taylor Dixon.
Sandra is survived by her granddaughters, Heather (Jeremy) Herman and Harley Danielle English. Great-Granddaughter, Laci Anne Hood.
