  Obituary of Ann SimurraAnn Simurra, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born on August 16, 1939, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Ann was the daughter of the late Peter Mango and Antoinette Biancamano Mango. She devoted her life to her family as a dedicated homemaker, creating a loving home filled with warmth, faith, and compassion. Ann was also a longtime faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Jackson, where her quiet devotion and steadfast faith were an important part of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Simurra; and her six siblings, Michael Mango, Patsy Mango, Lena Barber, Margaret Delutis, Millie Purer, and Gracie Gustaferro.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Patricia Simurra Price (Tony), Carol Simurra Ames and Linda Simurra (Rick Johnson). She was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren and a devoted great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Ann will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous heart, and the quiet strength and grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate the life of Ann Simurra will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Burial will follow the service at Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery at Parker’s Crossroads where she will be interred with her beloved husband, Frank. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:30 a.m., one and half hour prior to the service.

For family and friends out of town, a livestream of the service will be available at facebook.com/georgeasmithandsons. The livestream will appear about 5-10 minutes before the service begins.

Her family finds comfort in the many cherished memories they shared and in the assurance that her love will remain with them always.
