Kenneth Edsel Hughes, 99, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at Floyd Tut Fann in Huntsville, AL. He was born on February 12, 1927, at Owens Cross Roads, AL to Walter and Hester Hughes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mary.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Clark (Keith); two grandchildren, Dustin Clark (Savannah), Lauren Baker (Joseph); four great grandchildren Judah Baker, Elijah Baker, Mallie Clark and Samuel Clark.
Mr. Hughes served in the US Army, and he retired from Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of North Church Elkmont. He enjoyed mowing grass, yard work, and some woodworking.
Funeral service will be Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Alan Ostryzcki officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Graves, Greg Robinson, Joseph Baker, Dustin Clark, Keith Clark, and James Hogan.
There will be no public visitation.
