Shirley Pearson Cherry, age 64, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at NHC Lawrenceburg.
She was born April 9, 1962, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Jenkins and Mary Davis Pearson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie Bennett and William Dunnivant and two sisters Brenda Bennett and Janice Dockery.
She is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Mark) Gonzalez of Cornersville and Carrie Pearson Stottlemeyer of Tennessee; one sister, Pam (Scott) Begley of Cornersville; three grandchildren, Keith Pearson, Ashtyn Curtis and Cy Forst.
She was a devoted homemaker and cherished member of Cornersville First Baptist Church. She found joy in life’s simple blessings—spending time with her beloved dogs, listening to music, fishing, and taking in the beauty of nature along the creek. Her gentle spirit and love for the things that brought her peace will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
