Mrs. Annie Ruth Ritchie, age 88 of Aspel passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence “Shorty” Bates and Lillie Bell Bates; husband, Floyd “Tubby” Ritchie; infant daughter, Darla Jan Ritchie; sister, Betty Hardin; and brother, Wiley Bates.
Mrs. Ritchie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and David Moore; granddaughter, Melissa Miller; grandson, Joseph Moore; great grandchildren, Kaden Trapp, Ethan Trapp, and Kayleigh Moore; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 5-7 p.m.
