Calvin Williams Jr. was born on July 10, 1947, in McKenzie, Tennessee, to Lena Mae and Calvin Williams Sr. In his early years, Calvin attended Kentucky School of Mortuary Science where he earned his degree which allowed him to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a mortician. He later moved to Maryland, where he met his love, his late wife, Shirlean (aka Evil) Williams. Together they shared 26 years of marriage, but 30+ years of love. While living in Maryland, Calvin had a longstanding career with The Library of Congress and most recently NASA, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. Calvin is survived by his children, Nikki Williams, Whitni (Joseph) Kalman, Brian Long, and his stepdaughter, Lucinda Toliver a host of grandchildren, Khalib, Kieran, Kalvin, Kourtney, Kadyn, Ajiah, Keziah, Kemorah, Kamiah, Tarell, Marcus, Phillip (aka PJ), Tressie, Rico, Zakirah, Zakiah and Jayden; his siblings, Patricia (Leonard) Freeland, Alvin Scott, Charles Scott, Geneva (Verdell) Tharpe, and Lola Teague; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Calvin was preceded in death by his wife, Shirlean, parents, Calvin Williams and Lena Mae Horton, his stepmother, Earline Williams, siblings, Brenda Haley, Eddie (aka Butch) Horton, Rosalind (Red) Winston and Howard Williams, stepson, Rico Toliver and niece Alisha Baskerville.
