Mr. Jeffrey Micheal Rice, age 60, of Quebeck, TN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1966 in Marion, OH and was a member of Shellsford Baptist Church. He dedicated many years to his profession as a tool maker, eventually overseeing the tool-making department at Shiroki of North America in Smithville, TN. Jeff had a fun and loving spirit about him and brought endless joy to those around him. He had great pride in raising chickens and watching old time westerns on the tv. Among his other interests, he found happiness in collecting sports memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Shirley Teresa Jones Rice, children Jason Rice, Summer (Seth) Fann, and Reilly (Grace) Tate, grandchildren Maverick Fann, Tate Fann, and Charley Tate, and brother Troy Rice. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Jeffrey Rice and mother Karen Sue Spaulding Cox.
Funeral services for Jeff Rice are scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Craig Carlson will officiate. Interment will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
