Lois Virginia Bostelman Profile Photo Lois Virginia Sandrell Bostelman, 90, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at The Bridge of Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Bill Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday, June 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Maury County Senior Center, 1020 Maury County Park Drive, Columbia, TN 38401. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born April 9, 1936, in Lawrenceburg, TN, Lois was the daughter of the late Ben Sandrell and the late Mary Littrell Sandrell. On December 12, 1959, she married Edgar Bostelman, who preceded her in death in 2012 after 52 wonderful years of marriage. Lois worked for many years as a secretary with Morgan Stanley. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and making trips to Las Vegas. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her faith was an important part of her life. She was a former member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio, and a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Teri) Bostelman of College Grove, TN, Mark (Lisa) Bostelman of Columbia, TN, and Kelvin (Rhonda) Bostelman of Lawrenceburg, TN; sister, Shelby Brown of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Chrystyl (Jon) Price, Connor Bostelman, Brette Bostelman, Blake Bostelman, Aidan Bostelman, Nash Bostelman, Reid Bostelman, Jordan Oakman, Taylor (Andy) Lee, Morgan (Christopher) Kirkpatrick, Monica Bostelman, Dominic Bostelman, Kameron Bostelman, Karis Bostelman, Josh Bialorucki, and Destiny Ashbaucher; 18 great-grandchildren; and dear friend Neal England.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin Sandrell, Lloyd Sandrell, Carl “Pee Wee” Sandrell, Herbert Sandrell, Louise Brown, May Lutz, and Lorraine Sandrell.

Pallbearers will be Blake Bostelman, Nash Bostelman, Reid Bostelman, Carter Swartz, Kameron Bostelman, Dominic Bostelman, Jordan Oakman, and Braxton Brooks.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of The Bridge of Columbia for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Lois during her time there.
