Billy Wayne Liggett, age 90, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Billy was born May 10, 1936, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Willie and Margaret Smith Liggett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Jean Horton Liggett; two sisters, Ruth Blalock and Ann Robinson; brother William Arthur Liggett.
He is survived by his daughter Phyllis (William) Liggett of Columbia; two sons, Phillip (Susan) Liggett of Kaufman, Texas, and Ricky (Linda) Liggett of Columbia; brother Tommy (Carolyn) Liggett of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Brice Carr, Daniel (Lindsay) Carr, Samuel (Abby) Liggett, Owen (Angelica) Nordman, Adam (Casey) Nordman, Samantha (Kyle) Koepkey, Cory (Lindsey) Liggett, Tarra (Chris) Do, and Sarah Liggett; nineteen great grandchildren, Alissa, Bruce, Hattie, Lincoln, Mylah, Maevry, Millie, Briley, Connor, Cameron, Paisley, Meadow, Elijah, Lucy, Sadie, Margo, Carson, Eleanor, and Rosalyn.
He was a truck driver for Marshall Farmers Co-Op in Lewisburg for many years. After retirement, he was a full-time farmer which he truly enjoyed. He was one of the caretakers for Morton Cemetery and took great pride in making sure the cemetery was well taken care of. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them playing sports. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church Street, Lewisburg, TN, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm at London Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Morton Cemetery.
