Dr. Roy Dallas Crowder, age 83, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at NHC Oakwood.
Roy was born December 11, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Roy M. Crowder and Elsie Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Darleen Smith Crowder; son, Bill (Silvia) Crowder, of Franklin, KY; seven grandchildren, Abby, Lillian, Ella, Bianca, Alyssa, Amelia and Sophia; sister, Linda Pagano of New Jersey; four step children, Richie (Cindy) Jaynes, Travis Jaynes, Cory (Lindsey) Walker and Lindsey (Chris) Cadle; six step grandchildren, Whitney, Kilee, Seth, Deacon, Henry, and Kate; two step great grandchildren, Reign and Kru; several cousins and their families; classmates of East High School.
He was a Chemist with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from MTSU and was retired from the State of Tennessee. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing and following the University of Alabama sports teams.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at East High Alumni Building, the Gillespie-Malone House, in Nashville, TN.
