Born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 11, 1947, Steven lived a life marked by courage, service, dedication, and love. He proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War. The values of honor, sacrifice, and commitment that defined his military service remained evident throughout his life.

Steven was also deeply committed to serving his community through the fire service. He dedicated many years as a firefighter serving as Chief of Gordon’s Corner Fire Company in New Jersey and safety officer at Harvest Volunteer Fire Dept. in Harvest, AL. He was respected for his leadership, dependability, and willingness to help others in times of need. His fellow firefighters became an extended family, and his legacy of service continues to live on through those he mentored and served alongside.

A devoted baseball fan, Steven rarely missed an opportunity to cheer for his beloved New York Mets. Whether celebrating victories or enduring disappointing seasons, he remained a loyal fan throughout his life.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose strength, wisdom, and humor shaped the lives of those who knew him. He leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever.
