Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of this precious lady will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12 Noon. A private burial will follow.

Born on May 1, 1936, in Mississippi, Mrs. Anne was the cherished daughter of the late William Elzie and Leda Pearl Reaves Goodman. She received her education at Walnut High School before furthering her studies at Blue Mountain Christian College. Throughout her working years, she faithfully served as a bookkeeper for several businesses, spending the final twenty years of her career with Robert Denley Construction Company before her retirement.

A devoted Christian and a true example of the Proverbs 31 woman, Mrs. Anne embodied grace, kindness, faithfulness, and humility in every aspect of her life. She was a dedicated member of Oakland Baptist Church, where she could always be found whenever the doors were open. Whether attending services, participating in church activities, or serving wherever there was a need, her love for the Lord was evident to all who knew her.

Her servant’s heart extended far beyond the walls of the church. Through volunteer work with a community ministry, she lovingly helped make clothing for children, sharing her God-given talents to bless others. A gifted seamstress, Mrs. Anne spent countless hours sewing garments for herself, family members, and friends. In her earlier years, she also found great joy in tending her garden, preparing meals for those she loved, and creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered.

Though words can scarcely express how deeply she will be missed, her family finds comfort and peace in the assurance of where she is today. No longer limited by the cares of this world, she now walks the streets of glory, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and worships at the feet of the Savior she faithfully served for so many years. Her life was a testimony of steadfast faith, unwavering devotion, and Christlike love, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Those left to treasure her memory include her son, Eddie Jackson; her grandson, Joel Jackson; her sister, Elizabeth Lynes; her brothers, William Goodman and Daniel Goodman (Diane); along with her beloved church family, treasured friends, and numerous extended family members who were blessed by her life and example.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvie R. Jackson, Sr.; her son, Harvie Jackson, Jr.; her brother, Perry Franklin Goodman; and her sisters, Helen Harrison, Sue Marker, and Irene Minyard.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
