Steven A. Waddle, 65, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born in Kenosha, WI, to Milburn and Pearlie Joyce Waddle. Steven was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He loved everyone and was known for his kind and compassionate heart. He was a generous and selfless man who always put others before himself. One of his favorite pastimes was watching and feeding birds, and he had a deep love and appreciation for all animals.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont, MS, with Bro. Patrick Fowler officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS, will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his mother, Pearlie Joyce Waddle; two sisters, Patricia Bounds and Lenora Witt (Eddie); seven nieces and nephews, Chad Pruitt (Staci), Chenoa Parrish (Edric), Rebecca Davis (Allen), Matthew Bounds (Sam), Carrie Anne Lewis (Clint), Leeah Fowler (Johnson), and Layla Rinehart; his brother-in-law, Jeff Bolton; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milburn D. Waddle; his sister, Rachel Bolton; and his brother-in-law, Mike Bounds.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Chad Pruitt, Edric Parrish, Matthew Bounds, Allen Davis, Clint Lewis and Johnson Fowler.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Rosewood Assisted Living.
