Betty Jean Holt Wright was born March 23,1958 in Hohenwald, TN to her parents the late Mr. James Edward Holt and Mrs. Mary Lousie Pulley Holt Butler. Mrs. Wright spent her formative years in Wayne County, TN. In her young adult years she would meet and marry her husband Donald Ray Wright Sr. and the two would establish their family. She spent several years working in several positions in different capacities. However, she cherished most the time she cared for her husband and children in her domestic duties in which she was diligent. In her leisure time she could be found shopping, always looking for a good deal, sharing her favorite meal “catfish” with her family and friends and watching her favorite television shows. Still, she held no other moments closest to her heart than the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Betty Jean Holt Wright passed from this life at the Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN making her stay on this earth some 68 years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Mary Hagan of St. Joesph, TN; son Donald Wright of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren Brandy Young, Dakota Hagan, Lee Hagan, Anna Melissa Kelley and Kailin Caprice Wright; siblings Essie Glover of Green Hill, AL, Evelyn Hardy of Lawrenceburg, TN and Joe Ann Stewart of Radcliff, KY; her fur baby Wendy; special friends Ellen, Brenda and Linda; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a grandson Jeffrey Hagan who passed on May 2, 2025.
