Kenneth Warren went to his heavenly home on May 31, 2026, from the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He was born to James Horace Warren and Inez Ray Harris Warren on March 31, 1936, in Pontotoc, MS.
He married Gloria Faye Hale Warren on April 20, 1956. They shared 69 years of marriage together before her death on May 27, 2025. Kenneth was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church, where he attended until his health failed.
During Kenneth’s life, he ran a milk route, pastored at Horton Memorial Baptist Church in the 1960s, worked at Ram Golf, and retired from Action Industries as a machine mechanic in 2001.
Kenneth enjoyed taking his sons hunting and fishing while they were growing up. He often took their friends along, which created lifetime memories. He also enjoyed a good round of golf and woodworking. Kenneth liked watching his daughter play basketball for North Pontotoc.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hurricane Baptist Church. Prior to the service, visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Bro. Phillip Brock and Bro. Kevin Merritt will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Springs Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Kenny Warren (Lois Ann), James Warren (Marsha), and Tina Ross (Brent). He was Granddaddy or Papaw to eleven grandchildren, including Sabrina Davidson (Max), Chancey Terry (Nathan), and Drew Warren (Ashlynne), Jessica Hall, Sam Warren (Haley), Calen Walker, Eason Walker (Madison), Emily Walker (Ethan), Tyler Browning, Brick Ross, and Belle Moroney (Wyatt); ten great-grandchildren, Gracie and Maggie McClain, Ethan and Luke Terry, Hadley Davidson, Minnie-Lee and Mamie-Ann Hall, Otis Warren, Paeton and Colter Walker, Waylon and Bowen Moroney; sisters, Shirley Harris, Barbara Pinion (Billy), and Nancy Harris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Faye Warren; parents, James Horace Warren and Inez Ray Warren Harris; grandparents, Wilburn and Vester Warren, Clyde and Cora Ray; and in-laws, Hazel and Euree Hale.
His grandsons are honored to serve as pallbearers.
