Sarah Jones, age 68, passed away on May 24, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 1, 1958. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love for her family was evident in everything she did.
Sarah loved shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and talking on the phone with her daughter, Christy, after work each day to hear all about her day and share stories and laughter together. She also loved going out and about with her sister, and anyone who knew the two of them together knew they were absolutely unstoppable. Sarah especially enjoyed sitting outside with Pawpaw, and together they were the kind of sweet old couple that people often talk about and admire.
She is survived by her loving husband, Theodore Jones; daughter, Christy Bice (Jamie); granddaughters, Leeann, Amber, and Aaliyah; great-granddaughters, Nevaeh, Anna, and Ayla; sister, Geraldine; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Roberson; son, Andrew Jones; sisters, Mary Jean Johnson, Kathrine Clemons, Judy Skillman, Martha Roberson, and Robbie Scott; and brothers, Dennis Roberson and Totsie Roberson.
Sarah will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the memories she created with her family will be cherished forever.
A Memorial Service will be at a later date.
