Frankie Hudson, age 65, passed away on May 15, 2026 at home with his wife Melinda at his side. Frankie was born on May 30, 1960 to Kenneth and Bessie Hudson in Oneonta, AL.

Frankie attended Cleveland School in Blount County, AL where he enjoyed playing football. Throughout his life he was a farmer, a diesel mechanic, a construction worker as well as many other occupations. He helped form Rosa Fire Department in Blount county, and worked as a volunteer firefighter for about 18 years. Later in life he took up woodworking and spent many hours making beautiful gifts for family, friends, and strangers alike. He met his “fun chat group” through woodworking and loved both being encouraging and being encouraged by them. Frankie volunteered at Living Free in Falkville for several years, and led many men through Freedom small group through his church, Daystar Hartselle.

Frankie is survived by his wife of almost 31 years, Melinda, sons Steven Chamblee and Chris Hood, and sister Donna Latham. He has 9 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews, all who loved their Uncle Frankie. He also had more friends than could be counted.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 30 (his birthday!) at 10am at Daystar Church, Hartselle campus (1010 Nanceford Road Hartselle, AL). In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Frankie’s memory to ONE30 Network. https://one30.donorsupport.co/page/DONATE_NOW?fundraiser=NSGGRCAS&member=SMDXGKPZ
