O. Lee GoberO. Lee Gober passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 53. He was born on August 22, 1972, to the late Orville Lee “Pop” and Mary Earleen Gober.

Lee was employed at Eric Hoard Construction as a carpenter. He was a member of Plantersville Baptist Church. His favorite song was Amazing Grace. Revelation 3:20-21, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” was his favorite scripture.

He graduated from Tremont High School, in Tremont, MS where he played basketball. His hobbies include deer hunting, fishing and reading. In the summer, he loved the beach on a boat. He also loved music, and Alabama football.

Lee was loved by his family and will be missed. He was the kind of guy that could make friends easily. He had great personality, mischievous, hard-working and God fearing.
It was amazing how he went from sinner to Christian and lived it. At one point, Lee was in a Christian Rehab. He learned more about being a true Christian and knew the bible like a preacher. It was truly amazing and I was proud of him.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Edwin Cruse.

He is survived by his sister, Lavonda Cruse; special friends, Eric Hoard, Matt Cook, Steven Wildman, and family and friends.
