Paulette Swanner Dean of Hartselle, Alabama, entered into the arms of her savior on May 19, 2026. Paulette, daughter of Gladys Swanner, and loving wife of Jimmy, passed away at her home at Viva Lincoln Manor, surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Swanner, her husband of 57 years, Jimmy Dean, her brothers,  Ray Swanner and Billy Swanner, and her sister, Faye Craig.

She is survived by her brother, Don Swanner (Mickey), daughter, Penny Bowen (Jeff), her son, Lynn Dean (Susie); her grandchildren, Jessica Feemster (Karl), Breanna Novak (Adam), Jonathan Feemster (Kelsey), Summer Dean (Dalton), Taylor Wright (Matthew), Wesley Feemster, Colin Bowen, Lindsey Martin, Spencer Bowen; and her great grandchildren, Henleigh, Lacey, Caiden, Owen and Olive.

Paulette was a very devoted Christian wife and mother. She dedicated her life to raising her son and daughter and spoiling all of her grandchildren. She loved to have fun, and her quick wit could always bring laughter, and often tears of laughter, to everyone around her. She loved to listen to gospel music and never missed a chance to dance to the oldies. She was a wonderful cook and baker; you could always count on her to whip up a batch of her signature chocolate oatmeal cookies. She had a deep love for animals and a kindness that showed in the countless ways she helped others.

She was cared for by her family, Viva Lincoln Manor Assisted Living and Gentiva Hospice.

She was a true example of a virtuous woman, embodying the spirit of Proverbs 31:10-31.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 23 at 4:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, Alabama, with visitation held from 2:30 – 4:30 PM prior to the service.
