Claudette Saxon Ray, age 89, of Trinity, AL (formerly of Nakina, NC) passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at her residence. Claudette was born in Commerce, GA on May 23, 1936, to the late Ferman Saxon and Lucille Jordan Saxon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; William Rone Ray and a grandson; William Trevor Lytton.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Jill Apt (Stephen) of Trinity, AL , son; Larry Ray (Kim) of Nakina, son; Eddy Ray (Margaret) of Whiteville, son; Kevin Ray of Nakina; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be held at 12 pm, Friday, May 22, 2026, at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery in Whiteville, North Carolina with Danny McPherson officiating.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Ray family.
