Graveside Services for Mrs. Pauline H. “Polly” Pitts, age 89 of Millerville, will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Millerville Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitts passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Clay County Nursing Home. She was a lifelong Clay County Resident, was a high school graduate and had a 2 year Nursing Degree. She worked a LPN for Clay County Hospital for around 36 years. Mrs. Polly loved spending time with her grandchildren, and loving the Lord. She was a God Fearing Woman til the end, and faithful to her Savior. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and sister.
She was survived by two grandsons: Brett Strickland (Patsy) and Nick Arnold (Ashley), both of Ashland, numerous great-grandchildren and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Cecil and Sarah Pearl Harkins Hickman; three daughters: Debbie Strickland, Patricia Ann Arnold, and Lisa Kimble; two grandchildren: Laura Strickland and Stephen Thomas Arnold; and four brothers: Robert Earl, Charles C. “Charlie”, James Edward, and Tommy Hickman.
Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers.
Her visitation will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.
