William ‘Bill’ James Lundy, 88 of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022. Mr. Lundy was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He retired from the Department of the Army, Redstone Arsenal, and spent his retirement years golfing, reading, and teaching ballroom dance lessons with his wife, Francis. They taught in the city of Huntsville and about 19 years on various cruise ships. They were members of the Cotillion Ballroom Dance Club.
Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Lea Moorehead; mother, Marie Moody; and father, John Lundy.
Survivors include wife, Francis Miller Lundy; daughters, Pamela Kay Lundy and Jeri Moorehead Helton (Kenneth); son, William ‘BJ’ Keith Lundy; grandchildren, Dustin Walrath and Tyler Helton; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Brooklyn, and Damien; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
The family requests no flowers and memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
