FLORENCE-The winning poster for the 2016 Arts Alive event was unveiled at a press conference today
at the Florence-Lauderdale Tourism Office & Visitor Center. Chris James, owner of Heavy Color, a design and screen printing company in 7 Points in Florence, designed the poster (see attached).
FLORENCE-The winning poster for the 2016 Arts Alive event was unveiled at a press conference today
at the Florence-Lauderdale Tourism Office & Visitor Center. Chris James, owner of Heavy Color, a design and screen printing company in 7 Points in Florence, designed the poster (see attached).“For the 30th anniversary of the event, I depicted the bridge which joins both sides of the river,” said James. It was also announced that 100 vendors will be displaying their works at Arts Alive, which is set for May 21–22 in Wilson Park and the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts. This is the largest number of vendors in the event’s 30–year history. James and other 7 Points artists will be featured at the event for the first time.
Posters will be on sale at Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts prior to the event. Cost is $10. Posters and t-shirts featuring the winning design will also be available during the event.
Framed posters from the event from 1988 to 2015 will be on display for the public to view in the Florence-Lauderdale Tourism & Visitor Center’s Gallery until the end of May.
