Rosemary Compton, 83 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at her home. Born Wednesday, May 20, 1931 in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Stevens and the late Rosa Stevens. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Andrew Hopkins. Surviving are daughter Barbara Mahan of Athens, AL, son, Jerry Lee Compton of Abingdon, VA, sister, Geraldine Dooley of Pennsville, NJ, grandson: David Hopkins of Athens, Al, and great-grandchildren: Mahrley Hopkins of Wichita,Kansas, Elizabeth Hopkins of Wichita, Kansas, and Garrett Hopkins of Huntsville, AL. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with visitation from 1:00 PM until service time.
