Benny Luker – Obituary

Benny Luker, 66, Middleton, TNBenny Luker, 66, of Middleton, passed away Friday evening, May 17, 2019 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

The husband of LaDonna Russell Luker, who survives, he was retired as a truck driver with Milan Express and had worked for the Armira Corporation. He was born January 23, 1953 in Grand Junction, son of the late Chalmer Reed Luker and Monevia D. Turner Luker and lived all of his life in the county. He married his wife on March 2, 1973 in Corinth, MS and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and talking on the C.B. radio, where he was known as “Dr. Hook”. He especially loved his family, God and going to church. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a sister, Sandra Shelby and a brother, Mike Luker (Brenda), all of Murfreesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Luker in 1997; a sister, Debra Glidewell and two brothers, Walter and David Luker.
