Erich Hermann Sigle of Florence, passed away Thursday March 7, 2013 at ECM Hospital. A memorial service, followed by visitation, will be held Sunday March 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Florence with Father Andy Keyse officiating. A private burial will be held. Mr. Sigle was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a native of Esslingen, Germany where he was born in 1934. He was a devoted and loving husband and the world’s best father. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gabriele (Gaby), daughter, Andrea Frost and husband, Shannon, brother, Gunther Sigle and wife Erika, Nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends including relatives in Germany. He received a degree in Social work at UNA and earned a masters degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama, and spent 24 years serving as executive director of the Lauderdale Colbert Attention Homes where his passion for helping young people in need came to life. He was active on numerous committees and was with the 82nd Airborne Division. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church. St. Francis Fund 410 N.
