Jerry Oneal Gober, 75, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at North Alabama Medical Center.  He was born in Franklin County, AL to Charles Edgar and Ardie Dell Coats Gober.  He was a truck driver for many years and was a member of the Franklin County Cowboy Church.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 28, 12 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Bob Woods officiating.  Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his son Jeff Gober; grandchildren, Justin Gober (Savannah), Kammie Peters, Makenna Gober and Morgan Gober; great-grandchildren, Ry’leigh Gober, Carly Peters, Deanna Peters, Shaily Warren and Brailey Warren; his sister, Charlene Oliver and a host of nieces and nephews that loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tamara Gober; brothers, Ethridge Gober, Clither Gober, Heck Gober, Ed Gober and J.C. Gober and one sister, Shirley Petree.

Pallbearers will be Tim Oliver, Alex Ewing, Cody Scott and Justin Gober.  Honorary pallbearers will be Allan Oliver and Tony Collum.

Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 10-12 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.

The family offers special thanks to Sheffield VA Clinic for all your care throughout the years and Nurse Nicole, his telehealth nurse for showing your love and compassion for so many years.
