George Hartselle, Jr passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Wednesday November 9, 2022. George is preceded in death by his father George William Hartselle.
George graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Psychology and Teaching. He retired from Brookhaven Middle School after 30 years of teaching. He was an accomplished bass player, playing with several local bands. He was an avid Crimson Tide football and Atlanta Braves fan. Most of all he was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
George is survived by his wife Robbie Hartselle, son Trip Hartselle (Liz), daughter Parker Hartselle, grandson Thomas Hart Wright, mother Barbara Hartselle, sister Sandy Maggio (Steve) nieces and nephews Sam, Hank and Georgie Maggio, Eric, Kristi and Amanda, and his two dogs Stella and Scout. He will be truly missed with his joke telling and his gift of never meeting a stranger.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday November 12th from 10:00 to 12:00 at Roselawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Juvenile Diabetes Assoc, Dementia Research Association or Hospice of the Valley.
