Gale Barksdale, 72, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Red Bay, AL and was retired as a seamstress. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, Dennis, MS.
Services will be Saturday, October 16, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Caleb Waycaster officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sons – Chris Barksdale and Steven Barksdale (Marsha); eight grandchildren – Jordan Barksdale (Paige), Keith Seal (Christina), Kayla Fowler (Brandon), Tyler Harris (Chainy), Estell Barksdale, Donald Barksdale, Sam Messer and Doug Messer; nine great-grandchildren; one sister – Faye Keeton and one uncle – Rudy Collier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Barksdale, her parents, Dorris and Emarene Collier Keeton and a daughter-in-law, Gracie Barksdale.
Pallbearers will be Chase Lindsey, Sam Messer, Doug Messer, Austin Milam and Michael Cole.
Visitation will be Friday, October 15, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
