Bobby Wayne Rooker, 73, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 18, 1948 to Joel Curtis and Pauline Henry Rooker. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Motor Convoy and C F Trucking. He was a truck driver for forty-five years.

Services will be Sunday, October 10, 3:30 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Glen Bridgmon officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years – Gale Gentry Rooker; three sons- David Wayne Rooker, Jeff Rooker (Stephanie) and Joel Rooker (Erica Smith); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two aunts- Ruth Gardner (Bill) and Earlene Little and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Hugh Rooker and Johnny Curtis Rooker.

Pallbearers will be Alton Hester, Ransel Sparks, Eddie Wright, Allen Holcomb, Duke Wood and Steve Bostick.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 10, 1:30-3:30 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Belmont, MS
