  Sherry Moore Langley, age 72 of Athens, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at her home.

Visitation will be at Copeland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Services will begin at 3:00 pm with The Reverend Tom Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Copeland Cemetary. Pallbearers will be Chris Anderson, Jimmy McClary, Jeff McKinney, Jerry Newby, John Redmill and Steve Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be George Feigley, Bill Griffin, Bill Hutton, Dave Nunley, Glen Turner, Kenny Turner and Terry Wales.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Limestone County or Copeland Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Langley was a life-long educator and resident of Limestone County. She was a member of Copeland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Langley was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family immensely and was an amazing and devoted “Gran” to her grandchildren.

Mrs. Langley is survived by her son, Reece Langley (Kerri); daughter, Gelia Redmill (Griff); mother, Jean Moore; brother, Chuck Moore (Sharon); grandchildren Langley Redmill, Samuel Langley, Ann Bailey Redmill and Jack Redmill; nephew, Chase Moore; niece, Savannah Hannon (Paul); and three great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, C.H. Moore and her granddaughter, Blair Carter Redmill.
