  F.5.1.24 Glenna Baccus.jpgGlenna Ruth Baccus (Ponder), 60, Florence, a loving wife, mother, friend, and sister, fell asleep in death on Monday, April 22, 2024, at a short-term care facility in Tuscumbia, Alabama surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Ponder.

Glenna is survived by her father, Ulysses Ponder; husband, Timothy O. Baccus; children, B. Marlene Baccus and Kennedy M. Baccus; siblings, Mark (Karin) Ponder, Anthony (Tina) Ponder, Sheila (David) Ault, Robert (Sandra) Ponder; nephews, Kaleb U. Ponder, Micah J. Ponder, Brandon D. Ault, J. Ulysses Ponder; niece, Anya R. Ponder; and her beloved dog, Tequila.

Glenna graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Engineering in 1987 and received her master’s in manufacturing management in 1993 from Kettering University. Glenna used her engineering mind to improve the world around her in everything she did. After completing an extensive career in the automotive and heavy equipment industries, Glenna went on to devote her life to her God, Jehovah. As an active member of the Shoal Creek Congregation in Florence, Alabama she did all she could to share the love of Jehovah God with everyone she came across every day. Glenna spent all the time she could in her volunteer ministry listening, teaching, and showing love to every kind of person.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2414 Old Cloverdale Road, Florence, AL 35630 on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
