Mrs. Gladys Houck Torbert, age 99 of Guntersville, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 after a long illness.
Mrs. Torbert was born on January 21, 1922 in Perry, Florida to the late James David Lamar Houck & Susan Frances Goodman Houck. She was the loving wife of the late Corneil Edward Torbert who passed in 1996.
Mrs. Torbert is survived by her daughter, Nancy Torbert Wood; grandsons, Edward James Wood (Beth), Brian Jason Wood, Michael Bradley Wood; two nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a brother, James Herman Houck; sister, Laura Frances Houck.
Mrs. Torbert was a loving Christian lady and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
